Get married in Ravello – planning a civil ceremony
When I am asked which is the most romantic location of the Amalfi coast for an intimate destination wedding, I have no hesitation. Ravello!
This small, hilltop village is the perfect, most poetic location for your civil, Catholic or symbolic wedding in Italy.
A Ravello Civil wedding takes generally place in the wonderful “principessa di Piemonte” gardens.
The intimate, yet centrally located garden boasts a terrace with astounding views over the Amalfi coast. It can host a wedding of up 100 guests.
As it is totally open air, a back up solution in case of bad weather is the very nice Town Hall.
The town hall can host up to 45 guests inside.
Weddings are performed by the Mayor of Town or Civil registrar. A professional interpreter is required by law.
Happy brides wedding planner is available for the provision of translation services and witnesses on request (at least two required).
Civil marriages in Ravello are performed in the elegant and medieval building room of ”Palazzo Tolla” or in its quiet and flowering garden walkway or in the Garden Principessa di Piemonte.
In case of ceremony inside, “Sala dei Matrimoni”, a small, simple yet elegant hall with marble decors and period furniture. The hall can hold up to 52 people sitting (we can arrange on request white setting chairs)
These are shorter and simpler than religious ceremonies, of course, but can be charming and memorable.
Residence is not necessary.
The couple has to arrive in Ravello at least 2 days prior to the wedding in order to present a sworn declaration ” declaration stating that you’re free to marry” before the registrar the day before the wedding with our assistant . ( from Monday to Friday, only in the morning).
